The
Gretna Carnival Club (Krewe of Grela) was established
in 1947 first drawn by horse drawn carriages through
the streets of the city, considered the signature parade
of Gretna. The City Council pleaded asked the Krewe
in 1985 to move from Saturday to showcase on Mardi Gras
day, Fat Tuesday.
With
no trepidations we made the move and never looked back,
making Grela the quintessential parade of Gretna, special
thanks go to B.H. Miller who has truly been the guardian
angel of this carnival club.
Bingo
has been very beneficial to the Grela parade. Grela
has been a pioneer in bingo, creating a lot of extra
games within the contest of the usual structure of the
game, giving away prizes galore with such games as Making
Groceries Monday, Bingo Plinko, Hula Hoop, Second Line
and of course Back It Up 1 & 2 and too much more
to mention! We like to thank you, the customer, for
letting us serve you in your bingo endeavors. We hope
you continue to support us in our bingo and lets look
forward to the future for more fun and excitement than
we've ever had.
Thank
You,
Tim Perrin
