St. Joseph Church has been a focal point in the history of Gretna since 1856 to the present day. The recent addition of the Holy Family Memorial Garden, in the adjacent church courtyard has become a place for meditation, quiet peace, reflection and serenity. Donations from the Bingo Palace help to maintain the numerous plants, flowers and shrubs of this meditation garden. In addition, the bingo proceeds help to preserve this site which is listed on the National Register of Historic Places. The Garden is open everyday from 9AM to 4PM.
